On September 21, 2021 the contractors for the San Patricio County Flood Study project, held a project kick-off meeting a the Sinton Community Center. CDM Smith (the contractor) and the Nueces River Authority, led the presentation of the overall project timeline and scope. Participants came from various cities within the county and from county departments. They discussed known problem areas for flooding and availability of data.
The next steps in the project are for CDM Smith to meet with cities and other stakeholders to acquire data needed for modeling of flood hazard within the county. From there, they will analyze the data and then report back to the group on their findings.
