Like many other counties, San Patricio County dedicates many hours each day running down reports, stories, and even rumors during this pandemic. County leadership believes our community expects and deserves timely, accurate information as it relates to our County’s COVID-19 case count. The San Patricio Department of Public Health is investigating a possible COVID related death in our County. With Dr. Mobley’s guidance, we are working with the healthcare facility to determine the exact circumstances. At this time, however, this matter remains under investigation and we will release appropriate information as it becomes available. During this difficult time, our prayers and thoughts are with this family.
Next, as reported by Sheriff Rivera no inmates in our County jail have tested positive for COVID-19. Early on Sheriff Rivera put health protocols in place that include daily temperature checks and sanitation procedures.
