Below please find the New Cases Count in the last 14 days to help with questions relating to whether the County is eligible to opt-out of the Governor’s face covering order (GA-29). The County must go 14 days with 20 or fewer new COVID-19 cases before Judge Krebs can request an exemption from GA-29.

TDEM uses a rolling 14-day calendar. San Patricio County has received 42 new COVID-19 cases in the last 14 days. If the County is exempted from GA-29 but later exceeds the 20 new cases during a 14-day period, then the County would be required to comply with all aspects of GA-29. If after a 30 waiting period, the County once again has had fewer than 20 new COVID-19 cases (using a rolling 14-day calendar), Judge Krebs can reapply for the exemption.

Call 361-201-0551 to reach the Center for COVID-19 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. M-F.
